In most publishing models, distribution costs as much as production. Door-to-door delivery is expensive, inefficient and largely invisible.
We’ve chosen a different approach: -
Collaborative distribution doesn’t just move magazines - It builds momentum.
We’ve chosen a different approach: -
- Each participating business contributes $200 and receives an allocation of magazines. Some take 100 copies. Some prefer 50. Others take more because they have strong foot traffic and prominent display space.
- Instead of paying separately for distribution, we distribute together.
- Magazines are placed directly into businesses where they are actively displayed and picked up by customers who are already engaged with Double Bay. High-exposure locations naturally carry more copies. Smaller spaces carry fewer. Every member contributes the same amount. Every member benefits from the collective reach.
- No wasteful letterbox drops. No duplicated effort. No hidden distribution bill.
- If copies remain, we place them ourselves. If demand exceeds supply, we increase the next print run. The system self-corrects and improves each edition.
- It’s the bucket brigade principle in action — far more efficient to pass the buckets along than for everyone to run alone.
- The result is lower costs. Higher visibility. Stronger relationships between local businesses. And a shared sense that we’re promoting each other as a team — and attracting more people to Double Bay.
Collaborative distribution doesn’t just move magazines - It builds momentum.
